A Great Woolly Family Day Out

For a fantastic day out on on Bank Holiday Monday the 26th May, set your sights on the lovely market town of Shipston-on-Stour, in Warwickshire, where the annual Wool Fair is on all day from 10am to 4pm, celebrating all things woolly. It’s a great day out for all ages with lots of things to see and do.

Shipston on Stour is a lively market town on the edge of the Cotswolds, with roots in the sheep and wool industries. The name ‘Shipston’ comes from the old ‘sheep wash town’, as it was here, in the river Stour, that farmers from the surrounding hills would drive their sheep to be washed for shearing.
